Musher Brent Sass from Manley Hot Springs, Alaska, participated in his 2nd Iditarod in 2013. Continuing on a solid performance in 2012, this year he reached Nome in 22nd position after approximately 9 days and 23 hours. He crossed the finish line with 8 dogs on his team.

Brent Sass calls Fairbanks his home where he runs his Trail Breaker kennel. 2012 may be his first participation to the Iditarod, but Brent is not new to endurance mushing as he has participated in the Yukon Quest 5 times.

Brent crossed the finish line in Nome in 13th place, an outstanding performance for an Iditarod "rookie", and obviously benefiting from his experience with the Yukon Quest. He completed the race in 9 days, 20 hours and 25 minutes, with 13 dogs on his team.
