Veteran Musher Lance Mackey completed the 1000 mile race to Nome in 10 days, 20 hours and 17 minutes. He crossed the finish line in 22nd place with 9 dogs left on his team.

Veteran Musher Lance Mackey had high hopes to win a 5th consecutive Iditarod. Unfortunately, he finished in 16th place in Iditarod 39. Lance reached Nome after nearly 9 days and 18 hours.

Lance Mackey just made history by winning the 2010 Iditarod and being the only Musher to ever win four consecutive Iditarod races.

After enduring a thousand miles of icy trails, he crossed the finish line on March 16th, with 11 of his 16 dog team, in just under 9 days (8 days, 23 hours and 59 minutes).
