The Cottongrass is one of my favorite wild flowers in Alaska. They can be found in many places with standing water
such as wetlands, near streams, lakes, and bogs.
In late summer, large fields of Cottongrass blanket the tundra. They sway back and forth in the wind, scattering their seeds.
