Musher Peter Kaiser from Bethel, Alaska, participated in his 4th Iditarod in 2013. In spite of being relatively new to the Iditarod, Kaiser has been able to maintain solid performances. In 2012 and 2011, he was among the top 10 finishers. This year, Peter Kaiser reached Nome in 13th position in approximately 9 days and 18 hours. He crossed the finish line with 9 dogs on his team.

Peter Kaiser completed Iditarod 40 in 9 days, 11 hours and 6 minutes. He crossed the finish line in Nome in 5th place with 10 dogs left on his team. Peter Kaiser has only participated in 3 Iditarods since his rookie race in 2010, but he has been a very strong performer. He finished in the top 10 in 2 out of 3 races.
