Trent Herbst completed the 1000 miles race to Nome in 11 days, 20 hours and 17 minutes. He crossed the finish line in 37th place with 10 dogs left on his team.

Musher Trent Herbst is from Ketchum, Idaho. When he doesn't blaze the Iditarod trails, he teaches 4th grade students. Trent finished in 48th place at the 2009 Iditarod.

Iditarod XXXVIII is Trent's 4th participation to the grueling dog race to Nome. His tenacity and determination are an inspiration to his students.
