Rookie Musher Josh Cadzow from Fort Yukon, Alaska, tried out his second Iditarod this year. Although this is not Cadzow's first Iditarod, he is still considered a rookie because he had not completed the race in 2012. This year, Josh Cadzow reached Nome in 14th position after approximately 9 days and 18 hours. He crossed the finish line with 8 dogs in his team.

Josh Cadzow is a new Iditarod participant. At age 23, the Fort Yukon resident has decided to tackle endurance mushing by entering the 2012 Iditarod. Unfortunately, Josh dropped out of the race at the Kaltag checkpoint. Josh had 9 dogs left on his team.
