Musher Jim Lanier, from Chugiak, Alaska. At 68, Jim Lanier is an Iditarod Veteran. Thirty years after completing his first Iditarod in 1979, he still devotes the same passion and energy for the toughest race on Earth. He finished in 35th place in the 2009 Iditarod, a mere 5 seconds behind Robert Bundtzen. His all white dog team always makes a bright impression on the crowd. |
