Musher Ed Iten of Kotzebue, Alaska. Ed Iten dropped out of the race at the Elim checkpoint in the 2009 Iditarod. He has participated in 11 Iditarod races, but finished in the top 10 in 6 of them. His best finish was in 2nd place in 2005, behind Robert Sorlie.
