Musher Aliy Zirkle of Two-Rivers, Alaska. She has participated to the Iditarod each year since her rookie race in 2001, when she finished in 33rd position. In the 2009 Iditarod, she finished in 17th place, a mere 2 minutes behind Paul Gebhardt. Aliy also raced in the Yukon Quest, winning the Championship in 2000.
